AJ D. Martinez is Senior Counsel with Sherwood & Robert who is a registered patent attorney and counsels clients in matters involving all aspects of intellectual property (IP), transactional, personal injury, business transactions, litigation, contracts, and other general civil litigation matters. AJ has a clients-first approach: his priorities are to protect their interests and to work as hard as he can to realize their goals.
AJ regularly counsels clients in all aspects of IP and law, including:
- Obtaining and litigating patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights
- Enforcing clients’ rights and protecting clients’ rights against infringement
- Drafting and reviewing licensing agreements
- Drafting and reviewing all types of contracts
- Advising clients in all aspects of transactional matters
- Business transactions
- Outside general counsel to business of varying sizes
- Litigation
- Landlord-tenant law
AJ earned his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Tulsa, where he also graduated with an Entrepreneurial Law Certificate. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association (and active in its Intellectual Property Law Section) and he is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
In his spare time, AJ enjoys all types of outdoor activities, including golf, hunting, and spending time playing with and training his dog, Walter (Weimaraner). He is a voracious reader and has a life-long passion for learning new things.
