  The Closing Process

In order to transfer title to a property, a formal ceremony or "closing" takes place. The State of Georgia requires that real estate closings be conducted by an attorney. Generally, the buyer, seller, real estate agents and lender are present.

At a closing, the buyer and seller execute (or sign) a number of documents. For first-time buyers, the number of documents can seem overwhelming, but many are routine. Learn more about Closing Documents.....

A Shuping, Morse & Ross attorney is present to answer any questions about the legal documents and to verify their accuracy. Some closing documents include information directly related to your particular transaction (for example, the Closing Statement), but most are standard forms required in any real estate transaction.

At Shuping, Morse & Ross, we work hard to schedule closings at convenient times and to make key closing documents available for review in advance. On-time, efficient, hassle-free closings are our goal, and our staff of over 40 professionals works hard to make every closing a good experience for both sellers and buyers.
